About Us

BC Homestead is a part of ‘Ben Cruachan Pastoral’.

We are Glynn & Tam Cromb and Mark & Heidi Pilgrim. Two sisters and their husbands who purchased the Ben Cruachan Homestead and surrounding farm in 2020.

BC Homestead was built in the 70’s, originally as a holiday home for the Gunter Family. In the 90’s it was used for accommodation and horse trail rides.

Beaver Dam is a whopping 300 megalitres and was engineered using Keyline Irrigation, which means it has the potential for gravity-fed irrigation to over 200 acres!

Our property is a working cattle farm and offers spectacular views and scenery wherever you go. Blores is where our main cattle yards is located, and home to many of our favourite “look out” locations. It’s also where in 2023 we hosted the motorbike event, “Mother of Mayhem” (Australian Hard Enduro Championships)

Golden Point is our piece of privately owned paradise nestled at the base of the Avon Wilderness. It is situated at the beginning of the historic 1920 Cattlemens Route to Wellington Plains and Lake Tali-Karng via Little River, Purgatory Spur, the Razorback, Mt Hump and Mt Wellington, and is the former site of the historic 'Golden Point Cattleman's Hut' which burned down in 2006.

After many of our own family and friend ‘get togethers’ at the Homestead, we realised the options for large group accommodation are limited, so why not share this special place with others to enjoy. We hope you feel the same peaceful experience that we do when we stay here and that you love it as much as we do.

“The views are absolutely mesmerising, you just don’t want to leave. Can highly recommend BC Homestead for any kind of event, big or small, you won’t be disappointed.”

— Troy, after his 50th Birthday Party.
